      One of the most well-known brands manufactured by Acco is Wright®. It was in the late 1800’s, when a man by the name of H.H. Wright owned and operated a general machine repair shop located in Lisbon, OH. With the influx of hoist repairs throughout this shop, Mr. Wright found it advantageous to develop patterns of parts needed for the hoist repairs and began producing the parts himself. It was in 1928 when Wright Cranes and Hoists became a division of Acco.

      It wasn’t until 1985 when the Accolift, a sub-brand of Wright, hit the market and included the lever, hand chain, plain trolley and electric chain hoists. Over the years, modifications were made to increase the efficiency and productivity of the hoists. Most recently in early 2019, the improved Hand Chain and Lever Hoist were released, to provide portable, lightweight and compact designs suitable for a range of industries and applications.

      The Accolift Hand Chain Hoist, available in ½ ton to 20-ton capacities, provide a dependable working tool for machine shops, industrial maintenance, construction sites and production situations where parts need to be positioned accurately, but infrequently.

      The Hand Chain Hoist offers excellent construction features to assist your material handling needs.

      • Rugged, fabricated rolled steel plated frame.
      • Steel covers to protect chain wheel, overload clutch, brake and gearing from debris.
      • Weston style load brake to control full load capacity in any position.
      • Overload clutch assembly to prevent lifting overloads that could damage the hoist.
      • Load sheaves fit the load chain and are supported by pre-lubricated bearings for smooth operations.
      • Larger capacities available up to 20-ton.
      • Electric welded alloy steel load chain heat treated for strength and wear resistance.
      • Load block designed to guide the chain without jamming during operation.
      • Electric welded, close link galvanized coil hand chain, accurately and uniformly sized to sit within chain wheel pockets.
      • 360° rotating hooks for easy rigging.

      Lever Hoist

      ACCOLIFT Lever HoistsThe Accolift Lever Hoist, available in ¾ ton to 9-ton capacities, provide a dependable working tool for one-person operation in tight spaces. It increases a worker’s efficiency in pulling, lifting, lowering, moving and skidding objects in industrial, construction, maintenance, mining, ship building and utility company applications.

      With the 2019 release of the revised Lever Hoist, an improved free wheel operation was added to reduce working cycle time. The free wheel feature allows easy and fast load chain slack removal and adjustment for each unique lift.

      Other construction features include:

      • Rugged steel frame with fortified side plates for extra strength.
      • Load chain hook mount for improved mobility and safety between lifts.
      • Welded alloy heat treated load chain and cold forged gears for maximum strength and durability.
      • Overload clutch assembly to prevent lifting overloads that could damage hoist (optional).
      • 360° riveted or welded rotating hooks for easy rigging – Shipyard hooks are now available!
